Ever since the Garden of Eden there has been the battle between truth and lies.

acknowledging every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

You are a warrior…Virtuous means “War worthy.” Prov. 31

The enemy is afraid of you because Jesus Christ lives in you. 1 John 4:4

You have not been given a spirit of fear but Power, Love and a Sound Mind. 2 Tim. 1:7 (The Dynamis (power in Greek (doo-nam-is) of The Holy Spirit.)

You have eternal life through Christ. Abundant life in this world. John 10:10, John 3:16.

THE ULTMATE LIE.

Gloria Phifer

THE ARMOR OF GOD.

Through my life I have fought a lot of fear.

The biggest weapon the devil uses is fear. Fear of the future. Fear of what people think. etc.

You wonder if such a creature, who uses fear all the time, isn't fearful himself?

Fear is "False evidence appearing real." The devil tries to convince you there is something to be afraid of...to fear.

The Bible is full of 365 "Fear nots." One for every day.

Jesus command was "Fear Not...be not afraid."

Proverbs 3:25 "Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes."

So, what I see is, the devil will try to use fear against you. The Lord says "Do not be afraid!!!"

Joyce Meyers says "the devil sets you up to get upset."

Philippians 1:28 "In nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.:

To me this means when the enemy attacks me with fear, and I do not fear...this shows him he has lost and I have the Victory through Jesus Christ.

I use to fight fear when I was young. I remember, as a young Christian, The Lord showed me this scripture...2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

When I saw that fear was a spirit. I knew who I was fighting. I still remember standing in my kitchen, I felt The Lord right next to me, and when that fear showed up I spoke 2 Timothy 1:7 out loud with boldness. and that fear left!!!

Fear loves to take imagination captive. These are thoughts that are against the knowledge of God. 2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

What is the obedience of Christ...He says "Fear not!!!"

What is God's will? That you walk free from fear...walk in faith...resist fear...it is your enemy.

Jesus Christ has given us the Victory and He has given us "Power, Love and a Sound, disciplined Mind."

Ephesians 6:10-18 "my brethren, be strong in The Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the full Armor of God, that you may stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil....

Do not believe the ultimate lie...remember the devil is a liar...Jesus said the devil cannot speak the truth, because there is NO truth in him. So when he comes with fear...Fear Not!!! Trust in The Lord!!!

Good Morning. It is five minute Friday. Five minute Friday is connected to Lisa Jo blog. One word is given and you write for five minutes this morning the word is "Truth."

Truth is so important to me. The opposite of truth is lies.

Jesus said, "you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free."

I have found that true in my life. Lies build strongholds in our lives and keep

us  from freedom. When you see the Truth the strongholds are dismantled.

I was raised in a home where truth was not what mattered...only survival.

In fact, they did not see that they were not living in truth.

Their lives were full of superstition and fear.

It was a family who kept secrets. Important things were kept in the closet and

never discussed. It was too painful to look at or talk about.

There were forbidden subjects.  Those subjects needed to be brought

to the light of truth. Because they did not know how to deal with them

they acted as if those issues did not exist. If they were ever discussed it

was in hush tones.

I found Truth...Jesus Christ...when I was 22 yrs old. There was persecution

from my family. "What are you getting your self into?"

This was an upset to the way everything was done. You could talk about

Jesus...to a ...

certain point, but to give your life to Him meant you were stepping out of

their bounds. My mother had always told me "Don't get too religious

you don't want to be a "religious fanatic."

My finding Truth rocked their boat.

And finding Jesus the Truth rocked my boat. Lies I had believed about

myself and others and life now had the Light of Truth shining into that

darkness (which I hadn't known we lived in).

I have truly found that Truth sets a person free. I long for more of Truth in my

life. I want to live in Truth. Lies tie you in a knot.  Truth unties the knots

and gives freedom.

My finding Truth...Jesus Christ...changed my family.  Many of them came to

Truth and were set free from lies, alcohol, occultism, the list goes on.

I give praise and thanksgiving to The Truth, Jesus Christ, who came into

my life and set me free.  "He who has the Son of God is free indeed."

MATH PHOBIA

Gloria Phifer

A BEATING HEART...
The clock ticked on the kitchen wall...eleven PM. I yawned, as my stepdad reviewed math problems with me, over and over again. For some reason, I never knew why, he thought I wasn't good at math. I was seven years old.

I remember having night mares at that time. As I think back, they all had to do with "Math." One, I had many times, was a farmer who had a big pie. It had to be cut into exactly the right size and each size was a fraction. I would wake up in a sweat. Another one that bothered me was the number 8 hated the number 5. (Yes, I think I was a little traumatized...late nights and all.)

I have found report cards... Parents: "how is Gloria doing in math?"
Teacher..."Gloria, is doing fine in math."
Quess what? I grew up thinking I wasn't good in "Math!" In fact I hated even the idea of "Math!"

I changed schools fourteen times. In highschool, I had just begun an Algebra class.
We moved. I never got the basics. In my next school I was far behind in the class. I never approached the teacher, to tell her I had no idea how to do Algebra. No! I flunked! But, if your not good at math why should that be a surprise?

After my husband and I had children and they began going to school, I realized how smart they were. One was even "gifted and talented," the school system said.
Hmmm...
One day a friend said to me, "you know you are really smart." WHAT????

Some times you wonder why the light bulbs don't go off sooner. But, when you believe a lie...you need a revelation.

I was sitting at my desk, at the community college. I worked in the Business Office...in the ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT. As I was balancing my work, which I did every day...A light bulb of revelation..."I use math everyday...I have made a living for 15 years in the accounting department. Also, I recalled being a teller in the bank and handing money and balancing  my figures every day.

It always takes the Truth to set you free. I had believed a lie. How many lies do we believe? How many lies hold us back?

Believe the best...even of yourself...the truth will set you free.

(Hand me my calculator please. LOL)
