The sky darkened as heavy clouds rolled in. It was an unearthly darkness, like a fierce anger.
there was loud thunder and the earth began to shake.
Fear gripped hearts, afraid of the wrath of God.
On the cross Jesus cried, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?
The drama of the ages was unfolded before our eyes and we beheld Him smitten and stricken upon the cross.
It seemed forever before He cried, "It is finished!"
His head slumped forward, very still. There was relief it was over, but a deep sadness that He was gone.
He is not gone! He is risen! The First to rise from the dead...the First in all things...so He can bring us to Himself.
The pure Lamb of God has become our High Priest, our Intercessor.
The skies of Heaven have opened for the entrance of the Lamb of God. He made a way for us to come home.
An open heaven |
Just as He has risen, we shall rise to meet Him in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord,
THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!!!
